Chi loves the attention of humans, but is unsure about other dogs and cats, though he tolerates their attention. He just seems to be a little overwhelmed by the presence and attention of the many other dogs in the shelter. Chi would likely thrive in a home where he was the only dog, or with one other calm sibling.

Energy: Low-medium
Good with children: Unknown
Good with dogs: Yes, but can be overwhelmed by too many
Good with cats: Yes, he doesnt chase them
Barking: Rarely
House-trained: Yes
Leash-trained: In training
Good in car: Unknown

RESCUE STORY
Chi is named for Chichicastenango, the town in Guatemala where he was found hobbling around half starving with mange, suffering from a severe leg injury. Through his obvious immense pain and suffering, Chi cautiously approached his rescuers and gently accepted food, affection, and help. This poor pup has been through so much already in his journey. He spent some time in Guatemala healing and getting stronger in preparation for his trip to Playa, where he had an operation to remove his injured leg. Chi has come through it all and is now finally pain free on his three good legs, healed, and ready to find his forever home.
