What is City of Fairfax Animal Shelter’s adoption process?

We are a small jurisdiction that is contracted with an animal hospital to act as our animal shelter. It is best to call 703-385-7919 and make an appointment to meet our adoptable animals. The animal hospital staff is happy to help potential adopters in between helping their own clients but that could mean a long wait during their busy appointment hours. We adopt to residents of adjoining jurisdictions. We do not adopt out of state.
