Meet Chewy, a resilient Rottweiler/Shepherd mix who’s been through quite the journey. Chewy came to us after running loose, and unfortunately, his previous owner never came forward for him. When he first arrived, Chewy was shut down and nervous, but with lots of patience, treats, and love, he’s blossomed into a sweet and affectionate dog. Now, he’s all about making new friends and has warmed up to the staff, showing just how much his confidence has grown.<br/><br/>Chewy has a playful side, too! We know he lived with another dog in his previous home, and he absolutely loves to play, so he’d be a great companion for another dog who enjoys some fun and exercise. While he’s not quite housebroken yet, we’re confident that Chewy will pick it up quickly, especially with the right guidance.<br/><br/>Chewy may take a little time to fully trust in new situations, but once he does, he’s sure to become a loyal and loving companion.
