Is he a Brussel Griffin mix, a Affenpinscher mix, a Border Terrier mix or just your neighborhood Terrier mix? <br/><br/>Meet CHEWY! He’s 18 months old and 17lbs. We aren’t really sure what his breed mix is, but we are calling him a terrier mix! <br/><br/>He came to us as an owner surrender after his parents split up and he was stuck living in the garage, so we are told. We wanted to get him out of that situation asap.<br/><br/>Chewy does well with and loves other dogs. He does have a moderate to high energy level. He is very jumpy, loving and who, where, what, this, that, huhhhhh?!?!?! type of dog. A very in your face/want to play type doggo. He would do best with another dog who wants to play, or dogs who will let him know it’s not time for shenanigans! He would also be a good candidate as an only dog, IF, given the proper exercise.<br/><br/>As far as cats, we are told Chewy lived with them and chased them. His foster home does not have cats. <br/><br/>Chewy loves kids and has lived with a 2 and 11 year old. <br/><br/>Riding in the car, he’ll always be down for! <br/><br/>We are told that Chewy can work on potty training, and we agree, but he’s doing really great in his foster home! He staying connected to a 6 foot leash for any possible accidents and taken outside. He has tried to mark a couple times in the house, but wearing a belly band can help until he is fully potty trained! <br/><br/>Chewy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative and current on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. <br/><br/>He has recently been groomed. If you take care of his hair and brush him, we don’t expect him to need regular grooming. If you don’t take care of his hair, he will have some mats, like he did when he arrived. Maybe some touch ups and nails, but that’s it. CHEWY DOES SHED. <br/><br/>Fill out an application for Chewy at sianimalrescue.org. <br/><br/>Chewy has an adoption fee of $300. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, dewormed, current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and had a recent grooming due to minimal matting.
