Meet Chewy 🐾<br/><br/>Chewy is a 4–5 month old puppy we believe may be an Australian Cattle Dog / Dutch Shepherd border terrier mix (we don't know who Mr. Dad was but mom is a 35 lb. Aussie) and he already shows many of the wonderful traits these intelligent, loyal working breeds are known for.<br/><br/>With his beautiful tiger-striped brindle coat, expressive eyes, and alert ears, Chewy is truly a striking puppy. Dogs with this coloring are often compared to the rare and beautiful Dutch Shepherd, a breed known for its intelligence, athletic ability, and devotion to its people.<br/><br/>Chewy is a happy, curious pup who loves to explore, play, and spend time with people. Like many herding-breed mixes, he is bright, eager to learn, and very people-focused, which makes him a wonderful candidate for training and an active family.<br/><br/>Chewy is:<br/>✔️ Up-to-date on vaccinations (first and second puppy boosters)<br/>✔️ Healthy and growing beautifully<br/>✔️ Full of playful puppy energy<br/><br/>Our rescue, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue, will cover Chewy’s neuter surgery at the Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic when he reaches six months of age.<br/><br/>Chewy’s story began during a winter thunderstorm in December, when a mama dog and her puppies showed up at a Good Samaritan’s home seeking shelter. Chewy was one of those puppies.
