Chewie's Story

Owner in military, family cannot keep. Inside / outside dog Crate trained Housebroken Was great with the 4 yr and under kids Ok with small dogs No exposure with larger dogs - recommend meeting with new dog(s). Ok with people, barks initially (a little unsure), then warms up Plays with toys He know sit, come, shake Ok with food with people, but resource guarding with other dogs. Knows to wait for food if you say wait. Leash trained Cats are not recommended, he likes to chase. Will try to get on furniture if he's not stopped Has manners in general LOVES scratches, belly rubs, treats, get in a lap, any affection! Likes fruits and veggies except lemons and limes. Rides in car ok. Gently takes food from your hand. Catches treats in his mouth. ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW***** Neutered male ~7 yrs old 60 pounds Vaccines given 7-31-26 No microchip ALT ID# 7-31-26 5 8-1-26: During medical eval: Friendly, anxious while waiting (whining, staring at door), sensitive skin, possible allergies, see notes provided by owner when relinquished 8/14/26 - Dog is very friendly/outgoing with staff, is very anious as he was whinning and pacing during behavior observation. Once the adoption paperwork is completed the adopted pet receives a rabies vaccine and microchip prior to going home with the adopter of being sent for alteration.
