Chester does bark at new people initially, but with a little time and patience, he warms up nicely and shows his loving personality. He lives peacefully with other dogs and has previously done well with cats. Chester would do best with medium or small dogs who are calm and respectful of space. He requires slow, proper introductions with large or high-energy dogs and prefers companions who aren’t “in your face.” He could also be very happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention.
