Meet Chester! This handsome guy is a giant teddy bear. He has the best personality. Chester is neutered and we believe he is around 4 to 5 years old Chester loves toys, after his walk he loves to grab a toy out of the toybox. He is super friendly and he doesn't seem to mind the other dogs here. His favorite activity is playing with the jolly balls in the play area. Chester also loves loves loves water. He gets super excited when he sees you bring the hose out to the play yard. It becomes hard to fill the swimming pool when Chester is around. Chester would like to be your next best friend so come in and meet him!!!!!!! Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:00PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Medina County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

All adoptions are first come first served. You must be 18, in order to adopt. You are required to purchase a Medina County Dog tag, and that is included in the $64 adoption fee. Also, all dogs adopted from MCDS must be spayed or neutered within 6 months of adoption. You will be given a certificate for spay or neuter, and the cost of the procedure is included in the adoption fee, provided you go to a participating Veterinarian. There are no holds, or guarantees of adoption. In the event there is a high demand for a dog, there will be a drawing for that dog, held promptly at 10am on the day the dog goes up for adoption. There are no exceptions to any of our rules. All transactions are cash or check only. We can not accept credit or debit cards.
