CHESTER 's Story

We saved him just shortly of being killed at South LA shelter. Chester is with a foster but needs his furever home! <br/><br/>2‑year‑old German Shepherd/Husky mix. Up to date on shots. I can sit, stay, and give paw. I love fetch, bouncy balls, and chase. I enjoy parks, long walks, and hiking. Car rides and drive‑thru cheeseburgers are my favorite! He is good with other dogs too.

The Soulful Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

We have been using a website for the past seven years called rescueme.org this has been a successful venue for us although their site is not always operating which we just experienced all of our ads being down for 30 days. Our process is we first speak to the potential adopters then they are asked to fill out an application we strive to match the dog in question to their home. Make sure our dog is dog friendly if they have other pets or cats. We either do a home check or pictures are provided to us of the home the yard and the fencing. We do our best to ensure ourselves and the Pat this is a loving appropriate home for them. We do take the dogs back if they don’t work out in the adopters home.

Our Mission

Our mission is to rescue dogs out of the high kill Los Angeles animal shelters. Provide love and care and find responsible long-term homes for these precious animals.
