Chester's Story

As a baby, Chester was unfortunately surrendered due to the health of his owner. He was adopted as a young pup but unfortunately his family could not control his herding (Nipping) behaviour although they tried hard.

He's a young Castro Laboreiro Dog, a sheepdog. Chester is a working dog and requires lots of activity and stimulation and needs professional training with consistent behaviour from all who look after him. While at the shelter he has been the perfect gentleman and excitedly waits for volunteers to walk and feed.

He would be great for a family with lots of property, no small animals or birds, and time! He loves going for walks and sitting politely while you scratch his ears!

His complete medical includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, flea treatment, and dewormer.

The new owners should have training set up with proof of registration before taking him into their home. Ask voluteers how to do this!
