Cherry Tomato-Portland, OR's Story

Location: Fostered in Portland, OR

***TRANSPORT to CA and WA is available*****

Meet Cherry Tomato — a tiny survivor with a huge personality. Born on December 3, 2025, in Bakersfield, Cherry had a rough start in life. After her mama and siblings relocated to Bremerton, she needed a safe place where she could thrive — and she’s done exactly that.

This sweet girl is the daughter of a Pitty mix mama and a Dalmatian dad, and she inherited the best of both: playful energy, loyalty, intelligence, and endless affection. She’s currently being fostered with a Dalmatian companion she absolutely adores, and she also gets along wonderfully with children and cats.

Cherry Tomato is more than adorable — she’s resilient. This little fighter beat Parvo and bounced back full of life, tail wags, and puppy mischief. Expected to grow into a 50–60 lb companion, she’s already showing what a special dog she’ll become.

She’s cuddly, sassy, playful, and eager to learn. Cherry loves zooming around outside, then curling up for naps and snuggles afterward. She’s a fast learner and a very good girl, though like all puppies, she’ll still need continued guidance with potty training and puppy manners.

If you’re ready for puppy kisses, goofy playtime, loyal companionship, and a best friend who’s already proven how strong and loving she is, Cherry Tomato may be your perfect match.

Please copy & past the link below into your browser for our application:
https://www.jotform.com/form/243374218477059

Questions?
Email us at: info@savethedals.org

**Disclaimer: None of our dogs have been DNA tested, so we cannot guaranty they are 100% full pure breeds.**

Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step in our adoption process is for the prospective adopter to complete our Adoption Application Questionnaire which helps us best match you with the the dog that would be most suited to your home environment and expectations. Email us at info@savethedals.org with the name of the dog that interests you and we will send you our Adoption Application Questionnaire. If based on the Application Questionnaire we think one of our dogs is a good match to your home environment and expectations, we will follow up with a phone call, advise you of the adoption fee, schedule a home visit if applicable, and arrange a meet and greet with the dog. Adopters are also required to sign our Adoption Contract; you will be provided a copy of the contract for you to review and ask questions before you adopt the dog. Note that we often have multiple applicants wanting to adopt the same dog. Our selection process is not based on whose application we receive first. It is based on who we believe will be the best match for the dog, allowing for the greatest success of a high quality, loving forever home, with the least likelihood of the dog needing to be returned to rescue. We commit to the life of each dog we rescue, such that at any point in the life of the dog if its adopter is no longer able to keep the dog, the adopter signs our adoption contract agreeing that they will return the dog to Save The Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue. The dog is not to be turned into an animal shelter.
