Cher's Story

Name: Cher
DOB: 3/22/2023
Breed: Puggle Mix
Sex: Female
Weight: 14 lb.
Located: Buffalo

Hi, my name is Cher and I am what they call a Texas Special but what you would see most is Puggle. To understand me, you need to know a little about my background. Somewhere along the line I ended up in a shelter in Texas with my three pups. a few days ago somebody took my three kids away and sent the four of us to Buffalo. It was a long trip and very scary. When we go to Buffalo after a 30-hour trip I met my foster mom. She seemed nice but I had gone through so much I was quite scared. I quickly learned that my foster mom was kind and she had other dogs at her house which has made me feel much more comfortable!

I know how to go outside to go potty. I love treats and I LOVE to snuggle!!! I get along with other dogs. In my foster home, I've found that my little foster dog brother I feel most comfortable with but the bigger one is growing on me. I do live with cats and still unsure about how I feel about them.

If you think that your home would love an absolutely adorable little girl with a ton of love to give and the patience Cher needs to feel comfortable then Cher is your girl!

If you are interested in adopting Cher, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or if already approved, message the page to get on her list.

716 Promoting Animal Welfare & Safety (716 PAWS)'s Adoption Policy
Currently we only adopt out within a 1 hour commute from the Buffalo Niagara airport. We accept any application outside of that area if the family has no other pets and is willing to come to buffalo for meet and greets with the dogs. If an applicant has other pets it is on a case by case basis weather the foster is willing to travel for the meet and greet. We will consider processing applications outside of Western New York and Rochester if the family has no other dogs in the home and is willing to come to Buffalo for the meet and greet. We do not provide transport services to out of town adopters. We do not adopt within Canada. What's Required to Adopt Required vetting for dogs: They must be spayed or neutered Be current on their rabies, distemper/parvo. Kennel cough/Bordatella is highly recommended but not required for dogs. If current animals are not vaccinated and spayed/neutered, the application will be denied unless there is a valid reason that it was medically necessary not to perform the procedure. Required vetting for Cats:? They must be spayed or neutered Be current on their rabies PLEASE NOTE: You must be 21 or older to adopt. Once your application is received we distribute to our volunteers for processing. First we will contact your vet reference if you current have pets living in the home or have had pets within the past two years. Next we will be contacting your personal references. Next is the home check. This visit is a non dog meeting where a volunteer will meet with you and the members of your household to discuss the adoption process, review the home, the yard and answer any questions you may have. Once the home visit is completed and if you are approved, you will be notified and can then express interest in a dog.
