Cher's Story

Hi! My name is Cher! I'm a 2-year old female tricolor beagle! I'm adorable! I'm a little shy at first, but then I warm up. I really want to be loved! I'm great with other dogs. I used to be chained to an old steel drum lying on it's side with the bottom cut out. That's where I went when the weather was bad. But then I went to Nittany Beagle Rescue. I'm living in a boarding kennel right now, but I'll be spayed on 7/6/2026 & then I'll go to a temporary foster home to recover & learn about housetraining & house manners, & what it's like to live in a home with people! I can't wait to find my forever home, though! Please think about making me part of your family! When Nittany Beagle Rescue learns more about me, they'll post it. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be spayed soon. So I'm ready for my forever home then! Please think about making me part of your family! More photos are coming soon! Kennel License #4068

Nittany Beagle Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog & Nittany Beagle Rescue! We are a foster-home based rescue. We hold showings on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Lyons Kennels in Bellefonte, PA from 11am - 1pm. You can meet some of our dogs then! Please email or send a PM on our FB page if you want to know if a particular dog will be at the showing. If you are interested in a particular dog, or a type of dog, please submit an application to foster or adopt (it's the same application form). Once you have an approved application for a dog, we will connect you with the dog's foster parent. Typically the potential adopter & foster talk on the telephone first. Then if the dog seems like a good fit, we arrange a personal meet & greet. To download an application form, please go to (or copy & paste the link into your browser): https://www.nittanybeaglerescue.org/adopt.cfm For a full listing of our events, please go the Events page of our website: https://www.nittanybeaglerescue.org/events.cfm No same day adoptions.
