Chelsea's Story

Meet Chelsea!

Chelsea is a 5-year-old Lab mix looking for a soft place to land and a patient person to show her just how good life can be.

Not much is known about Chelsea's life before coming to us, though we believe she may have spent much of it living in a small outdoor kennel. Because of this, the world can still feel like a pretty big and uncertain place to her. Chelsea is very shy and fearful when first meeting new people, but every day she's making little strides toward becoming more comfortable, curious, and outgoing.

Chelsea isn't looking for a busy, bustling household. She would be happiest in a calmer home with people willing to give her the time and space she needs to settle in at her own pace. Loud noises can be scary for her, and thunderstorms definitely aren't her favorite.

She's a lower-energy girl who doesn't need a nonstop schedule of adventures. What Chelsea really needs is consistency, kindness, and someone who will celebrate the little victories with her—the moments when she gets a little braver, comes a little closer, and lets more of her personality shine through.

For the right person, watching Chelsea learn what it means to feel safe and loved could be an incredibly rewarding journey. She may need a little extra patience in the beginning, but we think this sweet girl is worth the wait.
