Cheeseburger's Story

Close your eyes and imagine with me. It's a warm summer day. You are relaxing and enjoying the breeze. As you're watching the clouds roll by, a new object enters your field of vision. Is it a bird? A plane? No. Its a Cheeseburger with all the fixins, and you marvel as it flies through the air in perfect slow symphony. Shredded lettuce and drops of ketchup slowly collide and ricochet off each other. The cheese slice undulates and glistens as it flies through the air. A pickle slice clings to the rotating beef patty, pasted in place with a thick layer of mayo. As soon as you think you've seen it all, the fries enter the scene, cascading across your full field of vision like tiny golden javelins dusted with a perfect layer of salt. Is there any reason for this clear display of gluttony, joy, and chaos all perfectly packaged into a moment of pure cinema? No. And that's exactly how Cheeseburger lives her life.

Hailing from SCRAPS, this black lab adjacent creature who looks equal parts dog and harbour seal has joined Murci's Mission. She is approximately 60lbs and has an approximate birthdate 01/07/2022.

Cheeseburger has more joy than brain cells and more energy than thoughts. She lives on vibes alone and spends the majority of her day smiling and viewing the world through both fields of vision provided by her one of a kind chameleon eyes.

We do know Cheesey previously lived with an elderly community member and while she was too energetic to be handled by this person, she does have experience in a home and is friendly to dogs, and kids old enough to take some knocking around. Upon initial cat test, she showed little interest in the cat and quickly moved on to continue playing with dogs.

Cheeseburger is crate trained, can walk chaotically on leash (our current passion project is to resolve this), and rides well in the car. She has had a few accidents in the house so may need the opportunity to recalibrate to household routines after a long stay in animal control. She would love a family that loves silly dogs and wants to include her in day to day life.

Cheeseburger comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and a complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the new partnership. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.

Thank you for checking out our !

Murci's Mission 's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to apply with Murci's Mission! We are a foster based 501c3 that specializes in animals with medical and behavioral needs. We do not have a facility or set hours of operation. To be considered to adopt with us, your first step will be to submit an adoption application. From there we will read through our application and make sure that we feel like you and your household will be a good match for your desired pet. If we feel that you are a good match, we will contact you via phone or email to ask any questions we may have and to let you know that we are beginning the process of screening your application. We will then call your references and vet, and finally schedule a meet and greet with you at a time that works for you at your place of residence where we will perform a brief homecheck to ensure there are no immediate dangers to the pet. In most cases, adoption can take place at the end of the meet and greet. For particularly shy pets, or pets that may need more time to warm up to resident animals, additional meet and greets may need to take place. We look forward to meeting you and thank you immensely for choosing to adopt.
