Cheeky's Story
Heartworm Prevention is given on the 23rd of each month
Cheeky came to CTDR alongside her beloved best friend, Arty, after their owner passed away. These two girls have shared a lifetime together, and Cheeky’s greatest comfort is simply being wherever Arty is. Their bond is deep and unmistakable. Cheeky is a quiet, gentle soul who takes a little time to warm up to new people, children, dogs, and cats, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines through. She enjoys short walks where she can sniff everything on the block and has a soft spot for squeaky toys. She does well with older, considerate children and is leash trained and crate trained.

Cheeky has been diagnosed with IMHA (immune mediated hemolytic anemia) and is currently on medication. She is doing very well and continues to enjoy her daily routine with Arty by her side. Cheeky would love a peaceful home where she and Arty can stay together and spend their golden years feeling safe, loved, and cherished. Arty and Cheeky must be adopted together. If you would like to give these two special girls the forever home they deserve, please complete an adoption application at www.ctdr.org.
