Cheddar's Story

Meet Cheddar!

Cheddar is a one year mixed breed dog with a cute short legged stature. He was found in a drain pipe with two siblings (who have both been adopted). Cheddar has been in his foster home for a while now and is ready to find his forever home.

From his foster family:

Cheddar is a sweet, loving puppy. He can be unsure with new people and in new situations as he is still learning that people are good and the world does not have to be scary.

Cheddar loves to play, especially playing fetch. He doesn't always bring the toy back but he is having fun with it at least. He loves being outside in general. He will forget to go pee and just sit in the yard and watch people, dogs and cars drive by. He isn't fearful of other dogs, and often doesn't even notice squirrels or bunnies close by as we walk him.

Walks are short, usually around the block. He can get a bit overwhelmed when things are busy outside. He might like another dog in the house that he can zoom around with and get his wiggles out.

He grudgingly accepts sleeping in the crate at night. If he can see you, he is ok.

Mostly he adores his people. He follows them everywhere and always wants to snuggle. He loves being petted and is just a love. He just needs some patience and a more quiet home.

We recommend Cheddar for a calm home with kids over 12 only. Another dog is ideal. A yard is a must.

Cheddar is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
