Checkers's Story

Adoption fee is low thanks to a grant by Subaru Loves Pets.

Checkers is a sweet and playful small breed guy who would thrive in any type of home setting. He loves to run and play with other dogs but doesn't need another dog in the home. He's happy to chew on a toy whole in the couch watching tv.

Checkers & his siblings were part of an unplanned litter. We believe them to be border collie mixes. Mom to this litter was 25 lbs.
Checkers is nearly house trained and is quiet in a crate. He has medium puppy energy. He would be great as an apartment dog! He is growing out of the puppy stage so if you don't want to deal with puppy behaviors, this guy is for you!

Ready for puppy love?
