Meet Chavi the tripod!<br/>Chavi is a 2 year old border collie/lab mix. She was a street rescue that had a broken front leg, heartworms AND a litter of 8 newborn puppies. Chavi was very shy when she first arrived. It took weeks for her to trust anyone. During this time Chavi was never aggressive, just very scared. But, this resilient and brave girl allowed us to help her through weaning her puppies and help her heal from her front leg amputation.<br/>Chavi is now heartworm NEGATIVE, she loves having other dog friends, and she is cat friendly. Chavi would need an experienced adopter or an adopter that understands trust must be earned. Her whole life was running from bad people, now that she is comfortable, every so often she will come up for a head pat, but always on her terms. Chavi is a house-cat of a dog!<br/>Chavi is leash trained and potty trained. She would do best in a calm home with another pet!<br/>Reach out to learn more.
