Chavey is around 9 years old! He is only about 30lbs and on the small side for a Chow Chow! What we can tell you through his foster home, is that he is a wonderful dog and does not fit the typical stereotype of a Chow. He’s been nothing but gentle, loves to take naps, and actually is a little bit of a space invader when meeting others! He has done well with smaller dogs in the foster home, although we do feel he would be best in a home without cats since he has tried to chase them on his walks. He does require space and respect around meal times . He does great when the foster is gone. He walks well on leash and loves rides in the car. Chavey is currently is receiving some eye medication for mild entropian and is being evaluated to determine if he will need surgery.
