Chaser's Story

Meet Chaser, a 10-month-old golden “houndy” boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Weighing 40 lbs, Chaser is a fun-loving, resilient pup who doesn’t let anything slow him down.

Chaser is a tripod, having had one of his front legs removed after an elbow injury before coming into the shelter that GCSPCA rescued him from. But don’t tell him he’s any different—he keeps up just fine and lives life to the fullest! In fact, his joyful spirit has earned him the nickname “kangaroo,” because he’ll happily balance on his back legs to ask for affection and attention.

He absolutely loves other dogs and thrives on playtime, whether it’s romping around with friends or enjoying his favorite toys. Chaser is also both crate trained and house trained, making him an easy addition to a home ready for a young, active pup.

Chaser’s happy, affectionate nature and zest for life make him truly special. He’s looking for a family who will embrace his uniqueness and continue to give him the love and playtime he adores. In return, he’ll bring endless smiles, laughter, and companionship.

If you are interested in adopting Chaser, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
