I’ve been living at my temporary home at Free Spirit for a couple of years now, but I am eagerly searching for my forever home. I am looking for a special person or family who can understand and work with me on my unique needs.<br/><br/>I have a habit of keeping things I find, so I need someone who can help me learn the “trading up” and “leave it” cues. Shelter life has been more challenging for me than for most, so I will need a calm and patient environment where I can gradually adjust to my new surroundings.<br/><br/>In my new home, I will thrive with space, a consistent routine, and plenty of reassurance. It's important that I am shown unconditional love and that my new family is willing to build trust with me over time. Loving me requires patience and a strong will to support me as I learn new skills to manage my guarding behavior.<br/><br/>I absolutely love playing with my ball in the play yard. It's one of my favorite activities and really helps get out my energy and have fun. Despite my quirks, I am a very affectionate boy. Take a chance on me, and let's start our journey together.<br/><br/><br/>***If adopted, Chase will come with a six session training package to successfully transition to home life.***<br/><br/>This dog requires an adopter to come out to the rescue three times in order to build up trust and form a bond with this dog before going home. Please talk to your adoption coordinator regarding the behaviors we have been working with this particular dog and the training techniques we have seen improvement with. We will also need the name and number of the trainer you plan on using before they will go home.<br/><br/> <br/>Special Training:<br/>Free Spirit Siberian Rescue cannot make any guarantee regarding the outcome of any dog being adopted out to household with cats or small animals. Free Spirit Siberian Rescue's Adoption Policy
Read the information About Siberian Huskies to determine if you feel you are an appropriate candidate for adopting a Husky. http://www.huskyrescue.org/about-huskies Completely fill out the appropriate adoption application form below. Once we receive the application, a representative from Free Spirit Siberian Rescue will contact you. This usually happens in 24 - 48 hours to verify the application. Once we verify the application, we then will invite you to the rescue to meet your new best friend. When you meet your new best friend at Free Spirit Siberian Rescue, we then will schedule an appointment to deliver the dog. This is part of the home visit we do and also helps the dog get more acclimated to his/her new environment. If you do have current pets, please ensure they are vaccinated prior to the arrival of your new dog. Adoption Fees: The adoption fees we set, help you! $420.00 – Puppies (up to 1 year) $380.00 – Adults 1 to 7 years $280.00 – Adults 8 years or more The fees include the following veterinary care and to ensure the safety and health of your animal. *Spayed or Neutered *DHPP, Bordatella *Rabies Shot *Heartworm *Tested (put on Preventative) *Microchipping When you adopt your canine, you will also receive the following: *2 day supply of dog food *Bathed and groomed *A New Collar *Delivery of your Rescue Animal to your house Please note: Upon receipt of your adoption application, we will review your application and will contact you upon verification of your application to set up a time for you to see the dog(s) you are interested in. Free Spirit Siberian Rescue is strictly a volunteer run organization. We appreciate your patience while we review your application. Please do not resubmit your application or send additional emails, as this may further delay the application process. Thank you for choosing to adopt a Rescue Animal. We adopt within 3 hours of Harvard, Illinois. You must be 21 years of age or older to sign the adoption contract. We cannot accept applications from adopters under the age of 21.
