Chase's Story

Meet Chase: Your Future Adventure Buddy (and Professional Good Boy)!!
(case #7547)

Say hello to Chase, a 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Kelpie mix who wandered in as a stray and is now ready to chase his way straight into your heart. As you might guess from his working-breed roots, Chase is smart, athletic, and full of potential—the kind of dog who’s happiest when life includes movement, learning, and a little purpose.

Chase has lots of energy and will do best with daily physical exercise and mental enrichment. Long walks, hikes, training sessions, puzzle toys, or fun dog sports would all be right up his alley. He already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more, making obedience training a fantastic next step—not just for manners, but also to help build his confidence and social skills.

When meeting new people, Chase shows a thoughtful, sensitive side. He did great with women, and while he was a bit unsure around some men at first, he warmed up quickly and happily joined them for short walks. With continued positive, rewarding experiences, especially around new people, Chase is expected to gain even more confidence and blossom into an even more well-rounded companion.

Chase also did very well meeting our test dog and would likely enjoy having a canine friend, as long as introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully to set everyone up for success.

This intelligent, active young dog will thrive with an engaged, patient family who’s excited to invest time in training, structure, and confidence building. In return, you’ll get a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s ready to grow alongside you.

If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you moving, make you proud, and form a deep bond through training and shared adventures, Chase might just be your perfect match.
