Chase's Story

Chase is a 5 year old oversized Dachshund mix with short little legs and a whole lot of personality. At 44 pounds he is currently overweight, but he is already on a managed snack plan and enjoys staying active. He came to us as an owner surrender through our local vet and has quickly shown what a distinguished and lovable gentleman he is.

Chase is crate trained, potty trained, and non destructive. He is an easygoing couch companion who is perfectly content lounging beside you, until a ball or squeaky toy appears. Those are his absolute favorite things and he takes his toy time very seriously. Watching him chase a ball with those short legs is guaranteed to make you smile.

He is kid, cat, and dog friendly, but Chase does have some boundaries that need to be respected. He does not like to share his food or high value toys, so he will need a responsible adopter who is comfortable feeding him in his crate and keeping special treats and toys picked up. With proper management, he thrives and does very well.

Chase would do best in a home that is predictable and not overly stimulating. He is a good boy who is a bit set in his ways, and those quirks are part of what make him so endearing. He would love a home where he can relax, enjoy his routine, and spend time playing in the yard or lounging with his people.

If you are looking for a low key companion with adorable legs, a love for toys, and a heart full of loyalty, Chase might be the perfect fit for you.
