Chase's Story

Chase was rescued from the euthanasia list almost a year ago. He was adopted and recently returned due to the owners health rapidly declining. It was no fault of his own.

Chase is a super sweet boy. He was pretty stressed and confused the first few days. Mostly just panting and whining. He has been perfect in the wire crate, but he has a much harder time in the covered crates. He definitely seeks out people for comfort. He likes to lay his head on my lap or right next to me. He is potty trained. He is a little excitement reactive towards other dogs. He is less reactive when I walk him with another dog. Chase is great with other dogs, I’ve taken him to the park twice and he has gotten along with every dog, but not super interested in one on one play. He does not guard food or toys from people or dogs. He is also good with kids! We’ve been stopped by a group of like 15 kids when out on a walk and he loved all the attention. Chase is food motivated, but doesn’t really beg for human food. He really enjoys laying on his bed and being near people. He is not destructive, he doesn’t really chew even on toys. Chase is an all around excellent pup. He would be a great walking buddy or adventure buddy!
