Charolais 26100 "Char"'s Story

Charolais will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. She is in vet follow-up for a ruptured ear drum after having an embedded grass seed removed.

Charolais " Char" is a brave and sweet cocker that needs extra care due to past life experiences. She was in a shelter after being found as an unclaimed stray. When found she was covered with hundreds of grass seeds embedded in her skin all over her body and face. At this time she is settling into her foster home, learning how to feel safe, comfortable and understood. She is benefitting from a calm, predictable environment which will help her to build confidence and settle into a new routine. Char has stranger anxiety and leans more towards the "fight" of "fight or flight." She does not like to be separated from her people by bar type barriers, whether baby gates or crates but a closed door is ok. She has found comfort by sleeping in the same bed with her foster brother.
