Charmander [Please Read Description]

Say hello to the loving Charmander. <br/>Charmander is not very socialized, meaning, he cannot walk on a leash or harness just yet. He needs extensive training and exposure to what domesticated dogs are accustomed to. For example, in order to get the lovely photos of him above, one of our experienced staff members took him out, at his pace, halfway through the quietest parts of the building. Giving him treats for every step forward since it is a big deal for Charmander to have even gotten that far. Halfway was the most stress he could handle at that time, so from that point on, he was gently moved into a rolling crate so he could see where we were taking him. Which was to the large yard where his sister (Togepi) was happily hanging out. Once he arrived at the large yard, staff opened the door of the rolling crate and allowed Charmander to come out whenever he felt comfortable. It took about five minutes for him to realize he was not in danger, and his sister's happiness also made him feel comfortable.<br/><br/>Upon observation in the yard, Charmander had stress since he knew his third sibling (Bulbasaur) was right outside in one of the kennels. <br/><br/>All to say, Charmander needs an extremely patient owner and would deeply benefit with having lots of space like a large backyard with fencing due to his past of wandering and being a proud little nomad.<br/><br/>If you or a rescue you know feels Charmander is the perfect future buddy for you, please come on by and meet him today!
