Charmaine's Story

*We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, September 19. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants from September 14-20. Contact us to learn more!*

Meet Charmaine! This sweet little Chihuahua wasted no time settling into her foster home and figuring out the routine. She gets along well with the resident dogs, enjoys a good game of chase with her people, and happily joins the whole crew for daily walks.

Charmaine isn’t one to insist on being in your lap 24/7, but she still enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing. Movie night? She’s perfectly content watching from her bed or claiming the opposite side of the couch. At bedtime, Charmaine heads to her crate, where she has developed a very important nightly ritual: aggressively rearranging—or occasionally shredding—her bedding until everything is apparently just right. Once her interior decorating is complete, she settles in for a good night’s sleep.

She also has lovely house manners and picked up her foster home’s potty schedule in no time. Sweet, easy to have around, and just independent enough to do her own thing, Charmaine is ready to find a home that appreciates a little dog with a pleasantly low-drama approach to life.

Charmaine is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Charmaine is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772 or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption! If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our animals’ adoption fees can be found on their individualized adoption listings found on our website (www.bounceanimalrescue.org). Our adoption fees includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, 4DX testing (for dogs 6+ months), FeLV/FIV testing (for cats), and microchip! Since we are a non-profit organization, these fees are tax-deductible. Our weekly adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
