FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPTER NEEDED!<br/><br/>**This is one of our current outreach situations and we are only able to physically take the dogs as fosters or foster-to-adopters (FTA) step up.**<br/><br/>We are trying to help an owner who is battling progressive multiple sclerosis. The mom and dad dog were dumped into a yard a year ago. With a lack of local resources and being unable to find help, those two dogs quickly multiple into 9 as mom has now had two litters.<br/><br/>The owner loves these dogs and has done their absolute best to care for them within their means. They are just struggling and unable to care for so many while also facing progressive MS. This is a time pressing situation. <br/><br/>CHARLOTTE:<br/><br/>—Female<br/>—8 months old (DOB 7/28/25)<br/>—15ish lbs currently. Not expected to grow much more (mom is 15ish lbs and dad is 25ish lbs)<br/>—Lives with small dogs (related)<br/>—Lives with a 70ish lb dog (unrelated)<br/>—Lives with cats<br/>—No kid exposure/experience<br/>—Very sweet, friendly, affectionate, snuggly<br/><br/>Potty training is unknown. With so many dogs in a home and a struggling owner, it is hard to know who had what accidents. <br/><br/>Charlotte will need to be fully vetted (spay, vaccines, heartworm test, deworming, etc) — all of which we pay for. <br/><br/>Charlotte will need to learn how to walk on a leash. She has never before and looking for a foster or FTA willing to give her patience and teach her how.<br/><br/>Charlotte is looking for a foster or FTA within 1-2 hours of Jackson, GA. <br/><br/>Foster-to-adopt (FTA) is fostering with the intentions of adopting once able to (after vetting is completed). They stay under our ownership until that time. We pay for ALL vet costs whether they are in foster or FTA.<br/><br/>All resident dogs in the home (if applicable) must be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and prevention. <br/><br/>Apply to foster or FTA: joyspromise.org/foster

Joy's Promise Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION APPLICATION: joyspromise.org/adopt If you are interested in one of our available dogs, please complete the adoption application at joyspromise.org/adopt. If your application is believed to be a potential match after review by our team, we will be in contact to set up a meet and greet. Any resident pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. We do not require a fenced yard (unless case of special circumstance where a specific dog may need a fenced yard). If you rent, we reserve the right to ask for landlord approval on the adoptee pet in your home and any stipulations surrounding pets in your lease. Adopters must live in Georgia. We do not do out of state adoptions. Approved adopters will complete an adoption contract, pay adoption fee, and receive a copy of records at time of finalizing adoption. Joy’s Promise is based out of Jackson, GA.
