Charlotte's Story
Meet Miss Charlotte

Our sweet little hound mix girl has quite the story. Charlotte had been out on her own since February before she was finally rescued by one of our youngest volunteers, and we are so thankful she is safe.

Charlotte loves hard. She is the kind of girl who wants to be right on your heels, making sure you are never too far out of sight. And when you finally slow down for a minute, she is more than happy to borrow your lap and soak up all the love she can get.

Her beautiful coat practically glistens like gold in the sunshine, and at just around 40 pounds, she is the perfect size for adventures, road trips, and exploring the world with her person.

Charlotte is very dog friendly and absolutely loves to play. A canine buddy could be a wonderful match for this happy, social girl.

Charlotte is barely a year old, crate trained, house trained, fully vetted, and currently being treated for Lyme disease. Thankfully, we caught it early and she is expected to be just fine.

She is still learning that men can be safe. Sometimes that fear comes out in a few very dramatic houndy bellows, but if she is given patience and a little time, she will warm up. She just needs someone willing to let her learn at her own pace.

As for cats... Charlotte is a little too curious. She thinks chasing them sounds like a fantastic game, so we are going to say no cats for this girl.

Charlotte has already survived so much in her short life, and now she is ready for the part where someone chooses her and shows her just how beautiful life can be.

Could Miss Charlotte be your next adventure buddy? I mean look at those FRECKLES, how could anyone resist?
