She’s an active, playful pup who’s happiest when she has a job to do — whether that’s running, hiking, learning tricks, or possibly even learning a dog sport! Charlotte is friendly, affectionate, and incredibly smart. She picks up on things quickly and loves using that big brain of hers, so she’d thrive with a family who enjoys training, games, and staying on the move. She gets along great with other dogs and loves to play, but she’d do best in a home without cats or small animals — she takes her “chase” instincts a little too seriously. Charlotte also does wonderfully with children and would make an amazing companion for an active family who wants a fun, loving dog to join their adventures. Bellwether Harbor's Adoption Policy

Bellwether Harbor does not do same day adoptions. Please keep in mind multiple visits to the shelter may be required. This number is determined various factors including the potential adopter’s experience and the training level/potential behavior issues of the animal. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please fill out an application on the shelter website. After the application has been received, the Adoption Coordinator will conduct a landlord check and vet check (where applicable). If approved, applicants are contacted for a phone interview, after which an appointment may be set up to meet the animal. Please note: Applying for an animal does not guarantee adoption of said animal. Adoptions are approved based on a variety of factors. We do our best to match animals with the best homes, not the first homes. It is possible that adoption of a specific animal will be denied even if the application is approved.
