Charlize's Story

Sharing our sweet Adoptable Charlize.

Will she fit in every household? Certainly not, but every household isn't necessarily a fit for her either. She needs a very special calm family, one that recognizes her sheer beauty even though she cannot see.

This summer, she was seen by multiple doctors including a specialist because one of her lenses luxated. She responded ok to treatment for a little while, but the eye and the pressure behind it got much worse. That eye had to be removed. Less than 2 months later, the same thing happened to her remaining eye. Back to the Opthalmologist she went and again, treatment to save the eye so she could have at least some vision was prescribed. She wasn't improving so again had to undergo surgery and her remaining eye was removed.

Yes, it's quite sad but she is resilient. I had the honor of babysitting her for a week when her foster mom was out of town. This little non-visual nugget smelled senior cats Beanie and Persians expensive renal diet and she climbed out of her playpen and tried to have herself a specialty all you can eat buffet! Obviously cat food isn't good for her, so I had to figure out some updated lodging for her!
Charlize is a precious tiny girl. It takes time for her to adjust which is understandable. She was very happy to be reunited with her foster friends. Charlize is fostered in Hollywood, FL.
www.ratbonertr.org
