She never knew a shelter. She never knew abandonment. She and her siblings were raised with love by an incredible foster family before finding homes of their own.<br/><br/>Even more special, Charlie and one of her sisters were adopted together by a wonderful family who adored them.<br/><br/>For nearly three years, everything seemed perfect.<br/><br/>But sometimes, despite everyone's best efforts, sibling syndrome can develop between littermates living together. Unfortunately, that is what has happened here. After working through the situation and exhausting their options, Charlie's family has made the heartbreaking decision that she needs a new home where she can thrive.<br/><br/>This decision has devastated them. They love Charlie very much. But they know that finding her the right environment is what is best for everyone involved.<br/><br/>The reality is that Charlie needs a new home as soon as possible.<br/><br/>She is not sitting in a shelter kennel today, but without a committed adopter stepping forward, her future remains uncertain. We need our supporters to help us find a safe landing spot before this situation becomes even more difficult for both Charlie and her family.<br/><br/> About Charlie<br/><br/> 3 years old<br/> Approximately 60 pounds<br/> Housebroken<br/> Crate trained<br/> Walks nicely on leash<br/> Wonderful with people, including children<br/> Shy when first meeting new people, but incredibly loving once she feels comfortable<br/> Loves toys, bones, and all the simple comforts of home<br/> Has food allergies that are managed with a special diet and Apoquel; otherwise healthy<br/><br/>Charlie would be happiest as your one-and-only pet. If there is another dog in the home, a meet-and-greet would be required to determine compatibility.<br/><br/>The saddest part of all is that Charlie has done nothing wrong.<br/><br/>She is not being rehomed because she is aggressive.
