Charlie's Story

Charlie is a one-and-a-half-year-old mini Bernedoodle who is still searching for his true forever home.
He’s had a few starts in life that didn’t work out—and because of that, he’s a little more sensitive than most. What Charlie needs now isn’t another quick placement… he needs someone who understands commitment, patience, and giving a dog the time he deserves to feel safe.
Charlie does best in a calm, quieter home, ideally with a woman or female-led household. He is not aggressive—he just needs reassurance and someone who will help him work through those moments instead of giving up on him.
He does fine meeting men outside the home, but seems more unsure with men in his living space, so we believe he’ll thrive best in a home where he feels consistently safe.
Right now, Charlie is doing great in a calm foster home with a single woman—and it’s clear this type of environment helps him truly settle in.
⸻
💔 Charlie has been returned before…
🤍 We are looking for the person who will be his last home.
He doesn’t need perfect.
He just needs someone who won’t give up on him.
⸻
📩 If you think you might be the right fit for Charlie, please reach out.
And if you can’t adopt, sharing his story could help him find his person.
Housin
