Charlie's Story

At just about a year old and 60 pounds, Charlie is the total package. He's happy, friendly, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. Whether he's making new dog friends, hanging out with his people, or simply enjoying the day, Charlie always seems to have a smile on his face.

This handsome guy has excellent manners, too. He's fully house trained, does great in a crate, and sleeps quietly through the night. Charlie is the kind of dog who settles into a routine easily and makes life with him refreshingly simple.

Charlie absolutely loves other dogs and gets along with every pup he meets. He's especially fond of playing with big dogs (like him!) and makes a fantastic playmate, but he's happy to be friends with dogs of all sizes. He's also met cats and couldn't have cared less about them, choosing to politely ignore them instead.

Sweet, social, and well-mannered, Charlie is ready to leave shelter life behind and become someone's beloved best friend. If you're looking for a dog who is equal parts fun, friendly, and easy to live with, Charlie might just be your perfect match.

Big Paws of the Ozarks's Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an application on our website with all necessary information. From there, our staff will conduct a phone interview and answer any questions regarding the dog or the adoption process. Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled with the family, dog, and dog's foster family. This is the time where other pets can be introduced. If the meet and greet goes well, we can send the dog in a trial adoption for a few days to make sure it is a perfect fit for everyone. From there the adoption is finalized through payment of the adoption fee and transferring of vet records.
