Charlie's Story
Charlie (is just under 2 years old DOB: 10/31/23). He needs a new home due to his elderly owner in her 90s not being able to care for him properly.

Charlie is a very sweet & playful dog. He loves to cuddle & follow you around. He is good with other dogs and with people of all ages. He loves to be with his person so would do best in a home where there was someone home most of the time. He is shy at first but after a few days his playful personality comes out and he gets the Zoomies.

He is healthy, up to date on vaccines, neutered and vet checked this year. He is a full bred 14 lb male Bichon.

His only issue is he needs help with his house training. Putting a Belly Band on him till he gets the hang of going outside and not going inside would be a big help.

The lucky adopter(s) should be willing to have patience with Charlie and be consistent with his house training. They should live in a house (not an apt or condo) and should either work from home or not work full time out of the home as he can whine a bit if you leave him alone for too long. It is also better so that someone is home most of the time to continue his house training. The good news is he is not a marker... he will pee all at once to empty his bladder and not pee on every spot he sees, so it should not be too hard to house train him, it just might take a month or two.

If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please fill out an application at this If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application at this link: https://bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html

If you have already filled out our app, please EMAIL me at NNJBichonRescue@yahoo.com with the email you used in your app and I will look it up.

Charlie is currently in Sussex County NJ (border of Warren County). Applicant's should live within 3 hours drive of there and be willing to drive to pick him up.
