Charlie's Story

Meet Charlie, a confident, outgoing 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm for life! At 64 lbs, he’s a smart, athletic boy who loves exploring the world, making new friends, and soaking up attention from his people.

Charlie is a high-energy powerhouse who thrives on activity. He loves long walks, running, playtime, and anything that keeps his mind and body busy. A home with a spacious fenced yard and an adopter who enjoys staying active would be a perfect fit. Because he gets excited when meeting new people, he’d do best with kids 10+, simply so his enthusiasm doesn’t knock over the littles.

This sweet guy LOVES toys—especially his stuffed starfish and snowflake chew—and he’s always up for a good run or a fun game. Once he’s had his exercise, he turns into a total cuddlebug who adores snuggling up with his humans.

Charlie is crate trained, potty trained, and settling into routine well. On walks, he does nicely until he spots squirrels, rabbits, bicycles, or other dogs—then he may bark or pull. He’s a sensitive soul who just gets overstimulated outside, and would really benefit from continued training and structure. He hasn’t had much proper dog socialization, and at the moment he prefers his space from other dogs, but with slow intros and guidance he may improve over time.

Charlie is loyal, affectionate, and full of potential. With the right home—a calm, structured, active environment—this special boy will absolutely shine.
