Charlie's Story

Hi, I'm Charlie - a 74-pound Labradoodle with a big heart, a fluffy coat, and a serious talent for snuggling. I'm 9 years old, but don't let that number fool you. I still love adventures, being outside, and making new dog friends... but I'm also pretty chill for a Labradoodle.

I used to live in a house with a big fenced backyard where I could come and go as I pleased. Honestly, that was my dream setup. About a year ago, my person had to move to an apartment, and while I've tried my best to adjust, apartment life just doesn't give me enough outdoor time. I really miss having space to stretch my legs and relax in the yard.

I'm friendly with other dogs and love to play outside with them. On walks, I'm actually pretty good on leash most of the time - especially for a big guy like me. I do get excited when I meet other dogs or spot a cat, though. Cats are definitely not my thing, so I need a cat-free home. I'll bark and try to chase them if given the chance.

I know "sit," "down," and "stop," and I'm very food motivated, which makes me eager to learn. I'm affectionate, confident, playful, gentle, and not protective over food, toys, or space. Mostly, I just want to be near my people. I'll happily sleep in my own bed, but if you let me sleep with you? Even better. I'm a total snuggle bug.

I love car rides, outdoor time, and being included in whatever my humans are doing. My ideal home would have compassionate people, a fenced yard, and plenty of love and attention. Another friendly dog could be fun too!

If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who enjoys both adventures and couch cuddles, I'd really love to meet you.
