**Meet Charlie **<br/><br/>Charlie is a 3-year-old, sweetheart who just wants to be loved on. He’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s with his people. He loves everyone he meets, gets along great with other dogs, (no cats please) and will happily accept all the butt scratches you’re willing to give. We honestly can’t believe he’s still waiting for his forever home…<br/><br/>Charlie has been in our home for almost three weeks and has been wonderful indoors. After the first couple of days, he’s had no accidents and signals when he needs to go outside. He’s very treat motivated, which makes training fun and easy, and he’s eager to please and learn.<br/><br/>He does great with kids and loves our 9 & 8 year old. Because Charlie is a strong guy who sometimes forgets his size, we’d recommend a home with older or sturdier kids so no one gets accidentally knocked over. A confident handler would be ideal as well, he’s working on his leash skills, but he does have the strength to pull if he really wanted to. <br/><br/>Charlie loves being outside, especially exploring the woods and playing in the snow, but he settles beautifully at home too. He’s comfortable in a crate and also happy sleeping on the couch at night. He would do great with or without another dog. He hasn’t picked a favorite person, he loves our kids, my husband, and myself equally, he really thrives on being part of the family!<br/><br/><br/>Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a minimum donation of $650, (dogs too young to be fixed will have an extra $200 deposit, refundable pending your spay/neuter agreement), 1 year and up are a minimum donation of $550, 7+ years are a minimum $450 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters.<br/><br/>This pup is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue, rescue based in Bonifay and Panama City, FL and adoption center in Argyle NY (NY Lic #1054). The minimum donation $650 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery or spay/neuter agreement (if too young), up to date with: age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention (if old enough) and martingale safety collar.
