Charlie's Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Charlie! Charlie is approximately 7 years old, 41 lbs currently and he is a medium-sized mixed breed dog! In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with dog-savvy kids and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.

As a senior dog, he has some arthritis but it doesn't impact his quality of life and he enjoys all the same activities as other, younger pups!

His foster says, "Charlie has been fostered with 5 dogs and gets along with all of them. He rarely barks. Has heard a low growl a couple of times when another dog tried to get his food but no escalation. Charlie will play with the other dogs a few minutes then wanders around my fenced yard on his own for a bit. His favorite thing to do is nap! He is happy curled up on one end of the couch. He is the easiest foster I have had. He is very laid back and easy going. And he SMILES when he greets you!"

He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 5th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.
-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
