My name is Charlie and I am 5 years old. This has been the most painful year of my life. You see, all of my life it was me and my dad but this year I lost him. A friend took me in until I could be gotten into rescue. I am so grateful for this family. They saved me in every way.<br/><br/>I am an emotional boy so it takes time to adjust. I keep looking for my dad and listening for him but I have slowly realized he won’t be back.<br/><br/>Yes, I am an emotional velcro boy. I like my people and I like to be close to them. I will sit in your lap if your will let me but I’m kind of a big boy so that might not be too comfortable! I like to play and play. The family I am in has two dogs and they are bigger and we get along great. It’s nice to have furry brothers and sisters to go with my temporary human family.<br/><br/>Although I am sad and adjusting, I am ready to go to the right forever family. A family who doesn’t mind a boy who wears his feelings on his face, who is working to get over a great loss but who is filled with lots of hope for the future.<br/><br/>I am not crate trained and love to be on the furniture. I like to talk to people as well. I know some basic commands and am working on my leash manners. I like to play fetch and play with toys. I like to meet new people.
