Meet Charlie
Hey hey everyone!
I'm Charlie or as I like to think of myself as King Charlie. Foster Mom likes to call me her Buddy. Here is my list of things that make me a king.
King of Cuddles and Kisses. I love laying in your lap or my head up on your chest or at your feet. My day is perfect when I can do this the most. I can be too heavy of a kisser, but will back off if you set me down.
I love all humans, but not great for living with all humans. See my next point why.
King of Warnings. Foster Mom says this is the most important one. I have issues with my left eye, which can make me really really scared. I will growl and I may nip at the person scaring me. I really don't want to hurt anyone so if I do nip it is very light.
Foster Mom says this is why I shouldn't live with young or inexperienced children. It can be scary to people who don't understand that I just scared of being hurt, and trying to get you to back off.
My eye medications aren't cheap. They cost about $90, but we only needed them refilled this week after about 2 months. It is a life long thing for my dry eye.
Last note on this is Foster Mom can pretty much do anything with me now that I trust her so with a little time I'm sure I will with you too.
King of Crate and House Training: The lady of the house says more like a prince here. I rarely tell her when I need to go out to the potty, but I will go on a puppy pad if need be. She says that I don't use these anymore, but nice for blizzards and thunderstorms.
I will bark in a kennel at times, but I don't destroy the kennel and leave the kennel dry.
Oh by the way I don't mark inside.
King of the Two Legged Hops:. I love to hop on my two back legs to convince you I want a piece of your meal! I also love to do it when I see you are getting ready to take me outside too! Or playing with a toy.
King of Bones and Toys When in the Mood:. I love to chew on bones, and will play with stuffed toys too. You might get a fetch out of me.
King of Dogs and Cats:. I ignore cats so I am cat friendly. I mostly tolerate dogs, but if they go after my privates I may try to nip them away. A submissive dog may work with slow introductions, but they aren't likely to become friends.
Things not so kingly about me are I can't do long walks especially in hot weather. I also scratch up a door if you leave me to roam when gone. If you leave it gated I will leave it alone otherwise I am not destructive.
If you made it here, and you would love a no shedding, kingly cuddler for your home fill out the adoption application!
His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
