Charlie's Story

Meet Charlie!

This handsome Shiba Inu mix is about 1-2 years old and already a pro at winning hearts. He’s a happy-go-lucky, social guy who loves everyone, people, kids, dogs, you name it. Whether he’s out on a walk or meeting new friends, he’s polite, confident, and great on a leash.

He’s smart too! Ask him to sit and offer a blueberry, and you’ll have his full attention (yes, blueberries are his love language 🫐). He would make a wonderful family dog and thrives on being part of the action. He’s potty trained and sleeping through the night like a champ. And the cherry on top, he is a low shedder!

At home, he enjoys a balanced routine: morning and evening walks, playtime with his foster siblings (Mastiff and Husky) throughout the day, and plenty of downtime lounging in his foster mom’s office. He loves being near his people and is very affectionate. Because of that big heart, he does have a bit of separation anxiety, but he’s actively working on his independence and learning healthy boundaries every day.

Charlie would do best in a home with another dog due to his playful, social spirit. He will likely do best in a home where someone works from home, is home often or can take him on the go.

If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and social companion who just wants to be your shadow (sometimes literally), this sweet boy might be your perfect match.
