CHARLIE's Story
Meet Charlie! ? Your Future Best Friend

Charlie loves contact napping, quiet forest walks, and would love nothing more than a human bed to sleep in. All the love and effort you put into this dog you will get back tenfold. He's ready to find his human family.

Charlie is an 8-10 month-old puppy who has had a tough start in life. Found as a starving stray in the Parry Sound area, we believe Charlie has never lived in a home before. He's learned most of the basic things and what it means to be loved and cared for in his current foster home in Huntsvile. But here's the thing—Charlie has so much potential! ? He is incredibly friendly, loves people, and wants nothing more than to please. With the right guidance, we know this boy will turn into an amazing companion.

Charlie will require a calm home with people dedicated to continue his training. He has already made tremendous progress learning, "sit", "down", "stay, and "crate" in his first month in foster.

Charlie gets along wonderfully with the other dog in foster (four year old shepard mix), who has been a great help in teaching him the doggy ways. The two have had positive interactions so far, and although he hasn't met other dogs we think he will be good with dogs and potentially cats. Charlie will still need some help to continue to learn how to be calm and not use his hound bark to get what he wants, so if there are other pets in the home they should be older/ calmer ones.

Stay tuned for updates on this sweet boy’s journey, and please reach out if you can help in any way.

Let’s help Charlie unlock his potential and find the loving home he deserves! ??
