Charlette's Story

Charlette is a sweet 4-year-old girl with a big heart and a curious, happy personality. She came to the shelter after being abandoned with three of her brothers, but she has not let that dim her spirit. Charlette is friendly, affectionate, and always ready to make a new friend.

She has a great mix of playful energy and calm, cozy moments. Charlette enjoys being active, but she is also happy to curl up for a good nap when it is time to relax. She is doing well with crate training and is mostly house-trained, with only the occasional accident. She is also easy and pleasant on leash.

Charlette loves when her people come home. She gets excited to see familiar faces, then settles in happily for couch time, cuddles, or being held. Give her a soft toy or a chew, and she is perfectly content.

Mornings are one of Charlette’s happy times. She bounds down the hallway and gets excited when it is time for breakfast and a walk. She may bark briefly if she hears something near the front door, but she settles down quickly.

Charlette would do best in a loving home where she can keep building confidence and enjoy plenty of affection and consistency. She has so much love to give and is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and lots of tail wags to her forever family.

Approximately 3-4 years old
18.8 lbs
Mostly house trained (working on the rare accident)
Crate trained
Great on leash
Good with other dogs, big or small
Good with kids
Affectionate to a professional degree
Unknown with cats

She's already decided your house is hers.
