Charlee's Story
Meet Charlee!

This sweet, silly, low-riding girl has been through a lot and she’s ready for her happy ending.

Charlee is the kind of dog who steals hearts in quiet, endearing ways. She has the cutest little snore when she sleeps, an irresistible butt wiggle when she’s happy, and the softest little nibble when she takes treats. She’s a bit timid at first, but she warms up quickly and truly wants to find “her people.” Once she does, she’s loyal, affectionate, and happiest being close by.

Charlee is currently fostered with other dogs and teenage children and gets along beautifully with everyone. She sleeps in bed with her foster family and finds a way to be touching someone at all times. She does well being gated to one level of the home when left alone. She does well in her kennel and seems to view it as a safe, cozy space. We haven’t heard Charlee bark but she cries for a while when left alone.

Charlee loves treats, belly rubs, and cuddling — simple joys that mean the world to her. She’s an easygoing, gentle soul who will make a wonderful, loving addition to any family lucky enough to call her their own.

Charlee is estimated to be 2 years old and 39 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events!

Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/
You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet!

Saturday, February 21, 12:00-2:00pm, Forgotten Star Brewing, 38 Northern Stacks Drive, Fridley https://www.facebook.com/events/1406567791037135
