Chapo's Story
Meet Chapo!
If you're looking for a dog who approaches life at full speed with a wagging tail and a smile, Chapo is your guy! This 4-year-old bundle of enthusiasm came to us after his family's home was lost in a fire. We held him through our Safe Harbor period, hoping his family could return for him, but unfortunately they were unable to. Now Chapo is ready for a fresh start and a forever family of his own.
Despite the challenges he's faced, Chapo hasn't let anything dim his bright spirit. He's a happy, bouncy boy who loves being part of the action and making new friends.
Chapo keeps his kennel clean when let out regularly, knows "sit," and is always excited for treats. In fact, he's so excited that we toss them to him! Sometimes he makes an impressive catch...and sometimes the treat wins.
He gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a cat-free home. Due to his exuberant personality and tendency to bounce through life, he'd do best with older children who won't be knocked over by his excitement.
Chapo has been through a lot, but he wakes up every day ready to love, play, and enjoy life. If your home could use a little extra joy, laughter, and tail-wagging energy, come meet Chapo!
