DOB 5/30/18 WEIGHT: approx. 8 lbs.<br/><br/>MY STORY: Chanel has spent her life at a breeding farm producing puppies. She has never lived in a home. This means she has not walked on a leash, and is not housebroken. Everything is new to her. She is not used to being picked up or handled. Touch is difficult for her. <br/><br/>Chanel is currently in a foster home. She is adjusting and doing a lot of exploring around the house and outside. She had a bath and is getting comfortable in her harness. Chanel is very curious and will even sniff feet until making eye contact with her foster family. She needs some time to decompress and she'll open up as she gets more comfortable. She even went to the park and enjoyed sniffing and exploring there. <br/><br/>Chanel has shown improvement in her trust in people. She will always be bonded to her forever owners. She is learning her voice. If she misses you, she will come looking for you, and if she can't find you she'll bark her to find you. <br/><br/>She's getting used to touch. There are sensitive areas, but she's learning to enjoy pets. She has learned to start getting used to short walks on a leash. She's beginning to learn the comfort to be on furniture and closer to her humans and still feel safe. <br/><br/>The most amazing thing is she is able to lay down in a common space and be relaxed when we are all sitting down. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN.
