Chance's Story

Hi there! I'm Chance, a 46-pound bundle of Lab and Shepherd joy who's ready to make your house a home. I'm an amazing puppy with a story that shows just how much heart I have – I was the only one of my litter to beat Parvo, making me a true survivor with an incredible zest for life. My past has made me appreciate every cuddle and every safe moment, and now I'm searching for a family to share all my love with.

Here are a few things that make me, well, me:

• My Constant Companion – I'm a loyal guy who loves to be right by your side, whether you're relaxing on the couch or moving from room to room.
• Playtime Pal – Toys are my jam, and I'll happily chase a ball or chew on my favorite squeaky friend, especially after a good walk.
• Calm Co-Worker – If you work from home, I'm your guy; I’m a pro at napping quietly by your feet or under your desk, and I'm perfectly content in my crate for 4-5 hours.
• Smooch & Treat Enthusiast – I'm always eager to show my affection with happy kisses and will do just about anything for a tasty treat, which makes learning new things a breeze!

When it comes to meeting new people, I'm a gentle soul who takes a moment to warm up, but I promise I learn quickly that people are pretty great and I'll be showering you with affection in no time. I'm fully potty trained and completely comfortable in my crate, which means I’m ready to settle right into your home routine. While I'm pretty good on a leash, sometimes I get a little excited seeing other dogs and might pull a bit, but my foster is helping me learn to keep all four paws on the ground, and I take direction really well. I'm excited by other canine companions, like my foster brother, and thrive with slow introductions to new friends, both human and four-legged. My treat motivation means I'm a quick study and eager to please, making me a perfect student for continued training. I’m truly looking for a family who understands that good things take a little time, especially when it comes to showing me the world is safe and full of love.

My adoption fee is $550, this fee covers my first year of vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Do I sound like the dog for you? You can fill out an application to adopt me at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html
