Chance came into our care on 9/16, so we are still getting to know him and will share more updates as we learn about his personality.<br/><br/>Chance is estimated to be 5 -6 years old and weighs 40 lbs (he looks bigger because he is fluffy). Our best guess is that he is either a Husky or a Border Collie mix. He has been friendly and happy with all our volunteers, and he loves long walks and playing with toys in the yard. He does shed, so his next family should be prepared for that.<br/><br/>On September 17, Chance was neutered, microchipped, and his veterinary care was updated. He is currently healing from his surgery, so he will need a little time before we can do formal dog-to-dog introductions. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment.<br/><br/>Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care.<br/><br/>With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
